In the late 1970s and early 1980s,
most motorcycle brands built excellent motorcycles that today
are often referred to as "standards." They featured
friendly ergonomics and the ability to handle a variety of
riding styles. But Kawasaki's motorcycles of that era were
anything but standard – the Good Times™ brand
earned a reputation for building fast bikes that won AMA Superbike
Championships in the capable hands of young racers like Eddie
Lawson.
